How to fill in a Spanish football pools coupon: 1, X or 2 for 14 matches, the Pleno al 15 goals boxes, doubles and triples, validation and the receipt.

To fill in a La Quiniela coupon, mark a cross in one box per match for the first 14 games: 1 if the first-listed team wins, X for a draw, 2 if the second-listed team wins. For the 15th match, the Pleno al 15, you mark the goals of each team (0, 1, 2 or M for three or more), and you must fill in at least two blocks, because the minimum stake is two lines at €0.75 each (€1.50).

This short guide to the Spanish football pools follows the official SELAE rules in force since the 2017-2018 season. For the full rules of the game, see how La Quiniela works.

Single lines, step by step

  1. Check the official order of the 15 matches: each row on the coupon is a match number. The fixtures are in the 2026-27 Quiniela calendar.
  2. In block 1, mark one box per match: 1, X or 2.
  3. In the Pleno al 15 area, mark one goals box for each team.
  4. Fill in block 2 with a second line. Up to 8 blocks can be used, in order.
  5. Have the coupon validated and keep the receipt.

The sign follows the listed order of the teams, not who plays at home.

XDrawMatches 1-14
2Second-listed team winsMatches 1-14
0, 1, 2, MExact goals per team (M = three or more)Pleno al 15

How do you fill in the Pleno al 15? One box per team: 0, 1, 2 or M. A 2-1 is the 2 for the first team and the 1 for the second.

Doubles, triples and system bets

A multiple bet goes in block 1 only: mark two boxes for a double or three for a triple, then record the number of doubles and triples in the COMBINACIONES area. Each double multiplies the price by 2 and each triple by 3, so 4 doubles are 16 lines, or €12.00. Reduced (reducida) and conditional (condicionada) systems need their own dedicated coupons. Prices are broken down in how much a quiniela costs.

How do you fill in a quiniela with doubles? Everything in block 1, plus the count of doubles and triples in COMBINACIONES.

Validation and the receipt

You can play at an authorised lottery outlet, where the terminal reads your coupon, or online through the Loterías y Apuestas del Estado website. The paper coupon has no value on its own: the printed receipt is the only valid proof for claiming a prize, so check it. If a match is played outside the matchday window, its result is decided by an official draw.

This week it is matchday 20 of the 2026-27 Quiniela, starting on Saturday 7 November. New to the game? Read how to play.

You can make your matchday 20 picks for free on quiniPrats, or set up a private pool with your friends.
